We have the morning to lose ourselves in the narrow streets of Stone town. It's just as nice as with the guide. Then we move on to Nungwi for the beach and our first dive in Zanzibar.

We have booked a guided visit of Stone town this afternoon. The city is a beautiful mix of Arabic and Indian architecture.

An easy transit in Addis Ababa and a very bad surprise when arriving in Zanzibar - mandatory (expensive) travel insurance.

We go explore Windhoek today, but there isn't much to see. The railway station is pretty cool. The afternoon is spent by the hotel pool.

Another long day of driving to Windhoek. Crossing the border was a little long but easy. Time to say goodbye to our camping set up !

Big day of driving today to the Namibian border - and it's pouring rain most of the way. Our camp for the night is, however, very nice.

The drive in Moremi today was hard, pools of water everywhere. We give up and drive back to Maun.

Moremi Game Reserve requires good offroad experience, especially in rainy season. We saw a lot of wildlife but the road was very difficult.

Very bad and riddled with potholes road from Nata to Maun. And we though that we could do a boat tour tonight, but there is no water in the river in Maun.

We wake up before the sun again to go explore the Nata bird sanctuary. This game drive was nice, even though the huge flocks of migratory birds were not present.
