Activity: Scuba diving with Spanish dancers diving center

Night: Pasa lodge Zanzibar

Day 288

We had such a good night sleep ! But we still have to wake up early to go diving.

The hotel breakfast is huge – and we have some issue finishing the dishes. Stuffed, we walk to the dive center on the beach. It doesn’t take long to be ready to go.

We dive around Tumbatu island today. It’s a short 45min boat ride to get there. Both dives were quite shallow ( no more than 18 meters ) and so very easy. No currents, good visibility and plenty of soft corals.

We saw: cuttlefish, octopus, nudibranchs, mantis shrimps, all kind of small crabs and shrimps, moray eels, ribbon eels among many other things.

An easy and very pleasant day. It’s what we needed, simple activities that we like without any difficulties. We are both still tired – I think the 5 weeks of camping are slowly getting to us now that we have slowed down the pace of travel. But this week in Zanzibar was exactly why we chose to stay here: to rest. ( and dive ).

The afternoon ends up being fairly short because we are back on shore at 2pm, then between cleaning your gear, lunch and shower – it’s already 4pm.

Diner is done around the hotel to an underwhelming tourist restaurant.
