Today it rains non-stop, and we planned for it ! So we cozy up and rest in a campsite cabin.

Today we drive to glacier country through Greymouth. The opportunity to taste a local brewery before hunting for accommodation.

We spend time around Westport: See Cape Foulwind, the seal colony of Tauranga and Denniston then drive down to Punakaiki.

Another fun ( and long ) inlet crossing at low tide and a short walk to Totaranui where the taxi boat brings us back to Marahau.

This day is the longest of our walk - from Bark Bay to Awaroa - and the one with the most ups & downs. Yet it's also the most rewarding when it comes to beautiful beaches and bay viewpoints.

This second day was short, and fun with our first low tide crossing. Bark Bay Hut has the best beach.

First day on Abel Tasman Great Walk was awesome with pretty coves and great afternoon beach time.

After a short walk to see waterfalls, we drive to Abel Tasman to prepare our supplies before the Great Walk.

The sea is rough, our tour gets cancelled. We use the time to repair the tent and head towards Pelorus Bridge Reserve.

The road to Kaikoura was beautiful. But the weather turned horrible towards the end of the day.
