A rainy day - a rest day

Exactly as the weather forecast predicted. Rain from 9 am until 7 pm. And from 7pm, it’s like someone flipped a switch and it was all blue sky and heat , for the whole hour left before sunset.

I am so glad we paid attention, as soon as we woke up, we packed the tent while only dew coated it and took all that we needed from the car to hole up into the lounge / kitchen area. And then the deluge started and the temperatures dropped.

I was quite smug that we had a cabin for the afternoon and the night. The night was indeed really cold.

In summary, today was a rest day – we read our book, my ankle and blisters recovered and had a very long nap under the blanket in the bed. We both were surprised as how tired we actually were. All in all, a good day despite the weather.
