Strolling through Ibirapuera park in Sao Paulo
There is Formula 1 Grand Prix today, and we have learned that on Sunday morning in Latin America, nothing is really opened. The best course of action is to take it easy.
After lunch, we decide to visit the Parc Ibirapuera. It’s the biggest of Sao Paulo and on a Sunday, the usual outing of most of the locals. The weather is great – it’s going to be nice.
After 20min drive we arrive there and start our stroll. Indeed, it’s crowded but it’s a very big place, so it’s not really an issue. We just spend 2 hours walking around, sitting on some benches and chit chatting.
If we had taken a blanket and a book, we would probably have found a shaded piece of grass to call our own for a while longer.
We decide to take a coffee and look for a pastry shop for tea time. I had spotted a French Bakery nearby our home but once we get there, there are no seating available. We continue up the street to where all the Italian restaurants are and end up in an Arabic restaurant eating baklava and other sweets. Ordering was a little challenging, but in the kitchen came out a Moroccan guy, Tarik, and between his broken French and English, we got what we needed for our break.
The evening is spent at home – we watch a little of the Olympics on TV ( it’s gymnastic ).
